David and the City Gardens
is inspired by the heartwarming true story of David and his mission to make New York City a little greener and a lot more beautiful. David transforms neglected “tree squares" (also called tree pits)—the area surrounding city trees that almost everyone thinks is just a patch of useless dirt into vibrant colorful gardens.
With his loyal companions, Mollie his dog and Ollie his cat, by his side, David’s hard work soon catches the attention of neighbors and even the national TV news. Through planting, watering, and caring for these small gardens, David shows how one person’s dedication can brighten a city and inspire others to join in.
